A month after surgery and I feel ready to give the merest glimpse of my body.
I was never symmetrical, indeed the right side was larger than the left. Now, though things are different. I am getting used to the look and feel of my new self and might even grow to like it a little.
What I would like though is to slim down that area below my chest. Diet and fitness is my new focus. A blog post about this will follow.

I admire you!
Thank you for sharing, Julie!

It takes a while to get used to things but you will. I felt my rebuilt breasts were like aliens but I am used to them now by and large. I still have bad days but they happen. Just be kind to yourself and remember to pamper. You have gone through this with loads of grace and positive thoughts. You go girl. <3
I have so much admiration for you and this is a beautiful glimpse indeed. I am glad that you are taking things at your own pace and that you are feeling like you are moving forwards, as hard as that might be in reality. Hugs 🙂
That photo is lovely. Just the way your skin looks. I’m glad you’re on the road to liking you’re body after surgery. You’ve got a wonderful outlook on things
I admire you so much for the way you have dealt with all this. You are most definitely one of the strongest women I know

Gosh Julie, if I hadn’t known what you’ve been through recently I’d just think this was rather a sexy, teasing image.
However I (like those before me) think you are awesome, you’re making great progress and I echo Kittens advice about taking your own time and being kind to yourself. xx
I have such admiration for you. Take your time, as much as you need, and be gentle with yourself.
Strong post!
Sending you all the healing thoughts xx
